Volume 3, Issue 3 (2024) Fall 2024

Dear Reader,

On behalf of our Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, Review Board, and Editorial Board members, I welcome you to Volume 3, Issue 3 of the Interactive Journal of Global Leadership and Learning (IJGLL). This issue is comprised of three articles, focusing on three very important matters concerning to higher education professionals.

Cindy Boe, is a student affairs professional (SAP) and a second year doctoral student in Educational Leadership. Cindy Boe's research is focused on supporting SAPs to strengthen their ability to engage in self-reflection and learning practices that are conducive to serve diverse college students in meaningful ways. These practices can have a significant impact of college students' program completion. Dr. Sarah Milner's research targets college students' stress experiences. Given the fact that many Gen Z college students's mental health has been reported as being predominantly "fair or poor" (APA, 2018), Dr. Milner's study explores the impact that the direct teaching and practice of stress coping strategies can have on young adult college students. Lastly, Dr. David Wolff utilizes an autoethnographic narrative inquiry research methodology to explore and report his own experience with historical thinking and storytelling as a teaching strategies within educator preparation programs.

Given the current state of affairs in higher education, these articles remind us of what is at the core of what we do on a daily basis: our students, their wellbeing, and the promise of a better, more compassionate future for each one of them.

Sincerely,

Ximena Suárez-Sousa, Ph.D.
