Abstract
There are many barriers that special education teachers have to go through when serving students with severe-profound disabilities, such as having the curriculum and materials to support them being the most significant. Special education teachers constantly have to adapt or create their own materials while supporting the numerous academic, behavioral, and functional needs of students with limited resources for appropriate materials. There is no concrete guidance on how to plan and support the various needs of students and no structured curriculum to use. The adapted curriculum planning template was developed to support special education teachers’ planning materials, lessons, target goals, and objectives to help them adapt to specific students’ needs in conjunction with the lack of research and support in planning for students with severe-profound disabilities.
