Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to examine the life and development of the author. Both personal and professional growth are discussed. Influential life experiences are summarized. Future considerations for professional counselor growth are explored. There is an attempt to pinpoint the contributing factors to the author’s theoretical orientation. Assessments utilized include: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, The Big Five, Self-Care Assessment, and Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) Questionnaire.
