Abstract
Young men continue to struggle with emotion expression leading to problems with substance use, behavioral issues, lack of close relationships, and overall suicide risk. Living up to the ideals of masculinity set in place by society can lead to stressors and overall maladaptive responses. With the many prevalent issues these adolescent’s are facing, the lack of help for this population is astounding. This project focuses on the implementation of group counseling in order to bring about healthier coping strategies, and overall emotional acceptance.
