Abstract
This project explored the effects of The Zones of Regulation with a kindergartener and a fourth grader who were referred for disruptive behaviors. Unwanted behavior by students in schools is problematic. These disruptive behaviors may not only interfere with their own learning, but also the learning and the environment for other students surrounding the student as well. The two boys were taught the Zones of Regulation curriculum separately each week. The behaviors were monitored by their teachers using event or duration recording sheets. The current study did not show any positive effects, but qualitatively the teachers both felt as though they were having to redirect behaviors less often and were recording notes less often
