Abstract
The purpose of this research project was to identify if weekly spelling improves overall spelling accuracy. The study was done with six second grade students. Group A participated in weekly spelling tests and Group B did not participate in weekly spelling test, both Group A and Group B participated in a review spelling test. Writing samples were collected and given a score for error per word. The results of this study show that the student who scored low on the North Dakota State Standard RF2.3 need to participate in weekly spelling tests to improve their overall spelling accuracy.
