Biography
William Wiedeman was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. He enlisted into the service in May of 1942. Some of his duties and training included aviation and then becoming a fighter pilot. William then became a lieutenant serving in a number of campaigns and battles including Leyte Gulf Campaign, Mieyako Islands Campaign and others. After leaving the military in 1947 William pursued a career in sales - Peterbuilt Trucks for 22 years. Decorations: -Flying Cross (2) -Air Medals (3) -Purple Heart -Campaign Medal (One for each campaign)
