The Mistic was a weekly newspaper published and written by students at Moorhead State Teachers College from May, 1925 to November, 1931, when the name was changed to The Western Mistic.
In 1964 The Western Mistic changed its name back to The Mistic.
The name was often stylized as The M.i.S.T.i.C. to emphasize that it stood for Moorhead State Teachers College.
